She's not your average yoga teacher. Gretchen is a slightly unconventional, totally real ERYT-200 hour teacher, trained by Marni Task, + a constantly curious student of life who has built a following by teaching directly from her heart. No fronts. No facades. Through laughter or tears she delivers straight-up, damn good yoga experiences to her students.
On top of teaching studio classes & workshops, Gretchen is passionate about hosting local yoga events that incorporate sweating & socializing to build up connections within her community.
I believe yoga can do you a world of good. Whether you prefer a power practice or regrounding with a soulful slow flow, the mental, physical, emotional, & spiritual benefits of being on your mat & in community are extraordinary.
I believe that when you feel good, (you know, that feet on the ground, head in the clouds kind of good) you start living it out in every moment, of all your days. That goodness, resulting from your choice to live fully, from a place of intention, with fearless authenticity, extends to the greater collective of beings that make up your community. When you do good for yourself, you’re doing good for others.
I believe YOU can change the world. Join me on this journey to do good, to create positive change within ourselves & our community.
Action | Yep. I embrace the totally radical notion that YOU can create a life you love every minute of living. But, you’ve got to stop waiting around. There is no magic potion. It requires YOUR active, deliberate, & willful participation in every moment, of every day. If you want things to change in your life & in your world, don't wait. Do good.
Authenticity | I keep it real, real. No matter where you are on this journey called life, I make sure my message & movement is accessible & applicable to your everyday life. I take traditional yogic texts & make the messages modern. I invoke the energy of Kali Ma & bow down to Queen Bey, all in one class. As a teacher + student of life, I promise to always share honest, humble learnings from personal experiences, no pretenses.
